WHAT WE MEAN BY...

When you work for BHSN, you will be classified in one of three categories of employees:  Relief, Part-time or Full-time.  A Relief staff member works on an "as needed" basis; a Part-time staff member usually works between 20 and 39 hours per week depending on the program/job description.  A Full-time staff member is someone who normally works 40 hours per week.

THIS WEEK WE’RE LOOKING FOR...

Administrative Assistant    (PROS)

BHSN is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to provide shared administrative and clerical support to the Adult Services Programs including transcription for prescribers. Qualifications include: strong data entry/keyboarding skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, accuracy and attention to detail. Prior medical office experience preferred. Must be flexible. High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

 

Teen Peer Mentor  (Early Advantages)

The Early Advantages Program of BHSN is seeking a part time (5 hrs/wk), temporary Teen Peer Mentor to provide face to face and telephone outreach to teen parents in the Home Visiting Program. Will organize and facilitate a teen peer monthly support group and provide information, education and service referrals to teen parents. Will provide outreach presentations to community service organizations and transportation as needed to assist teen parents attending support groups. Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary; general knowledge of community resources essential. HS Diploma/GED required. Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

 

Relief Employment Counselor   (Resources Unlimited)

This per diem position will provide individual and group rehabilitation interventions designed to teach skills and offer support to adults with mental illness participating in PROS as these recipients pursue their overall rehabilitation and employment goals. Will provide onsite and offsite job coaching. BA in related Human Services field preferred or 2 years employment in mental health, employment or rehabilitation field. Must possess good interpersonal skills. A Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.

 

Facilities Manager  (Admin)

 

BHSN is seeking a qualified individual for the full time position of Facilities Manager. Will lead and participate in the preparation and administration of work and project schedules for the maintenance and custodial staffs; coordination and completion of preventative and ongoing daily maintenance at all Agency facilities, including equipment and grounds. Assist with preparation of bid specifications as requested and oversee progress of projects to insure timeliness and completeness. Qualifications include: BS or associates degree in related field; or appropriate certificate from technical school or high school diploma/GED. Minimum of 3 to 6 yrs of progressive exper. and responsibility in maintenance field. Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills. Familiarity with local building codes, carpentry skills and CDL License preferred. Valid NYS Driver’s License, reliable transportation, working knowledge of Word and Excel required.  

 

 

Relief Staff (all shifts) (Residential Services)

Breakthrough II, a community residence for mentally ill adults, is seeking dependable and responsible adults for Relief positions. Duties include assisting counselors, providing client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Training provided. Previous experience in human services field preferred. Various shifts to work on an as needed basis available. Must be at least 23 years of age to apply. Valid NYS Driver's license for at least three years and reliable transportation a must.
