WHAT WE MEAN BY...

When you work for BHSN, you will be classified in one of three categories of employees:  Relief, Part-time or Full-time.  A Relief staff member works on an "as needed" basis; a Part-time staff member usually works between 20 and 39 hours per week depending on the program/job description.  A Full-time staff member is someone who normally works 40 hours per week.

Apartment Program Case Manager (residential housing)


Breakthrough II, an Office of Mental Health licensed residential program, is looking for an Apartment Program Case Manager to assist adults with mental illness learn the skills necessary to live independently.  Experience with mental health or related field preferred. Must be at least 23 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least 3 years and reliable transportation a must.

Program Director (PROS)

Behavioral Health Services North (BHSN) is seeking a Program Director to oversee their Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) program. Candidates should have extensive background and experience in operating rehabilitation and recovery focused programs, possess strong management and leadership skills and have experience in program development and outcomes management. Expertise is managing effective and efficient services essential. LCSW or CRC preferred. LMHC mandatory.

 

Therapist (CFC)

Behavioral Health Services North (BHSN) is seeking an experienced individual for a full-time Therapist at its Child & Family Clinic. This position will provide individual and family therapy to seriously emotionally disturbed children, adolescents, and their families. NYS licensure eligibility and appropriate Master’s degree required, MSW preferred.

 

Family Specialist    (FBT)

The Family Based Treatment Program of Behavioral Health Services North is seeking a full time case manager/community liaison to plan and coordinate treatment for 5 severely emotionally disturbed children in a treatment foster care setting. Strong interpersonal, writing and organizational skills necessary; prior human service experience essential. Bachelor’s degree in human services field as well as valid NYS driver’s license and clean driving record essential. 

 

 

CHILD ASSOCIATE  (PMHP)

BHSN is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Child Associate for the Primary Mental Health Project, located at area schools. Child Associates are trained to work with early childhood students in the elementary school setting who are identified in need of school adjustment services. Child Associates work with the mental health team, teachers and designated students a total of 15 hours per week during the school year. Must have an Associates Degree or equivalent, possess strong interpersonal skills and have experience working with children. Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Background checks will be conducted.

 

Van / Bus Driver   (Transportation)

BHSN is seeking a CDL Driver, 30-39 hours/week, to provide transportation within Clinton County to transport adults to/from mental health programming. Split shifts starting at 6:30 – 9:00 AM and 2:00 – 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. We also seek per diem Relief Driver’s; shifts may be either 6:30 – 8:45 AM and/or 2:15 – 4:30 PM as needed.  Qualifications include H.S. Diploma or equivalent, valid NYS Commercial Driver’s License with clean driving record. Must be at least 25 years of age and pass a mandatory physical, drug & alcohol testing and background checks. 

 

OVERNIGHT AND WEEKEND RELIEF STAFF OPPORTUNITIES !(Twin Oaks)

Twin Oaks, a community residence for individuals in recovery from chemical dependency, is seeking dependable and responsible individuals for Relief Staff positions. Duties may include: assisting counselors, providing client supervision in a residential setting, recordkeeping, filing, medication supervision and accountability and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Must be at least 25 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least three years and reliable transportation a must. Experience in human services related field preferred. Training provided. Relief hours require the ability to cover the Shift Saturday 8 p.m. to Sunday 8 a.m. and other overnight shifts Midnight – 8 a.m. 

 

Residential Peer Counselor (Residential)

This part time evening Counselor position will provide supportive and educational counseling to residents learning to apply the skills necessary to live more independently. Will assist residents with case management needs including but not limited to transportation, linkage to other services and discharge planning. High School diploma or equivalent required.  Must  be CPR certified or able to achieve certification within 30 days of employment. Consideration will be given to candidates with personal experience with mental health. Must have a valid NYS driver’s license with a clean record.

 

Residential Relief (All Shifts) (Residential)

Breakthrough II, a community residence for mentally ill adults, is seeking dependable and responsible adults for Relief positions. Duties include assisting counselors, providing client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Training provided. Previous experience in human services field preferred. Hours are Midnight to 8:00 AM and various other shifts to work on an as needed basis available.
