The FIT Program also provides parents with the opportunity to help others as well as receive help. Your family will gain support from experienced family members who have navigated the system in helping parents to develop a strong voice in determining their own family’s needs. There is also continuous one-on-one support and guidance by a Family Advocate as well as advocacy services to help with interactions at school, social services, medical appointments and other services. The FIT Program is a creative and innovative sharing of resources to provide services to children and their families. On 2002, FIT received the "2002 Excellence in Resiliency Award for the Clinton County Fireside Chats" from Families Together in NYS, Inc.
