Clinton County Suicide Hotline Now Available

With 28 suicides between 2002 and 2004 in Clinton County, our region has the ninth highest completed suicide rate in New York State.  The Clinton County Community Services Board and the Health Department through  MAPP  (Mobilization for Action and Prevention Planning) have identified suicide as a public health problem.

With a grant through State Senator Betty Little, county funding and a grant from the CVPH Foundation, the line is operated under the auspices of BHSN.  Our annual fundraiser, Mardi Gras North, also funds this 24/7 professionally operated line.
