WHAT WE MEAN BY...

When you work for BHSN, you will be classified in one of three categories of employees: Relief, Part-time or Full-time. A Relief staff member works on an "as needed" basis; a Part-time staff member usually works between 20 and 39 hours per week depending on the program/job description. A Full-time staff member is someone who normally works 40 hours per week.


THIS WEEK WE’RE LOOKING For:

EVENING COUNSELOR  (Residential)

Breakthrough II, a community residence for mentally ill adults, is seeking a full time Evening Counselor to assist residents in learning and applying the skills necessary to live more independently.  Duties include: providing supportive/educational counseling and assisting residents with case management needs including but not limited to transportation, linkage to other services and discharge planning. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and good interpersonal skills.  Must be at least 23 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least three years.   Previous experience working in related Human Services field preferred.  Work shift consists of Monday – Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. 

COMPLIANCE OFFICER  (Administration)

BHSN is seeking a full time Compliance Officer to ensure BHSN provides the highest quality of care by assuring compliance with regulatory standards and leading continuous quality improvement activities throughout the Agency. Major responsibilities include: implement compliance policies; direct internal audits to monitor effectiveness/outcomes of regulatory standards; coordinate/implement corrective action plans; provide guidance/educational training to management regarding changes in governmental laws, rules and regulations. Role also includes duties as Agency Ombudsperson, incident reporting, and quality mgmt. oversight. Qualifications include: Must be a Registered Nurse. Knowledge of changing Federal, State and OMH regulations needed. Attention to detail; good interpersonal/computer skills necessary. Supervisory experience helpful. 

THERAPIST (Child & Family Clinic)

BHSN is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time Therapist in its Child & Family Clinic. This position will provide individual and family therapy to seriously emotionally disturbed children, adolescents, and families in both outpatient clinic and school-based settings. NYS licensure and appropriate master’s degree required, MSW preferred. Position to begin on or about 7/1/13.

IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (MIS)

BHSN is seeking a full time IT Support Technician to assist mgmt. with designing and implementing database reports and other mgmt. tools to assist in the efficient and effective operation of their programs. Proficiency in Crystal Reports is required.  End user/Help Desk support experience preferred. Duties include: Report writing, Training on the use of hardware/software; development of training documentation; troubleshooting hardware problems; installation of hardware/software. Qualifications: Associates degree in computer science and an understanding of SQL databases essential. Ability to work independently. 

PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER (Adult & Children's Services)

A full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position is available working with children and adults. Monday through Friday hours with no on-call or weekend hours.
The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and medication evaluations for adults with serious mental illness and/or children with serious emotional disturbances. Ability to work collaboratively with treatment team critical. Expert skills in diagnosing and treating mental illness. Position will promote wellness and provide patient education. Keyboarding skills essential to perform collaborative documentation. Valid NYS license as NP in Psychiatry and must possess certification as a Psychiatric mental health NP. Candidate must maintain a valid DEA license and be eligible for full and unconditional participation in Medicaid/Medicare and other third party insurance providers. Prior experience preferred.

VAN /BUS DRIVER (Transportation)

BHSN is seeking a per diem CDL Driver to provide transportation within Clinton County to transport adults to/from mental health programming. Split shifts may be either 6:30 – 8:45 AM and/or 2:00 – 4:30 PM as needed.  Qualifications include H.S. Diploma or equivalent, valid NYS Commercial Driver’s License with clean driving record. Must be at least 25 years of age and pass a mandatory physical, drug & alcohol testing and background checks. 


RESIDENTIAL RELIEF (All Shifts) (Residential)

Breakthrough II, a community residence for mentally ill adults, is seeking dependable and responsible adults for Relief positions. Duties include assisting counselors, providing client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Training provided. Previous experience in human services field preferred. Hours are Midnight to 8:00 AM and various other shifts to work on an as needed basis available.
