REGISTERED NURSE 

The Adult Clinic is seeking a full-time NYS Registered Nurse to provide health screening, coordination of health referrals to appropriate community providers, and illness/medication education for adults with mental illness.  The RN will work closely with prescribers to support medication treatment services, provide administration and management of prescription medications to include injectables.  Responsibilities will encompass management of client caseload and development of treatment plans.  Computer and keyboard skills for using electronic health record, CPR certification, ability to work some evening hours, some local travel, and a valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier are required.  Prior experience working in a mental health environment is preferred.

DRIVER (Part-time/Relief)

BHSN is seeking a reliable, safety-oriented individual to transport clients to and from programming and as needed for responsive demand.  Qualified candidates are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent, maintain an excellent driving record as a requirement for continued employment, must possess a valid New York State Driver’s License that is acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier.

SUPPORTED HOUSING CASE WORKER

Supported Housing is seeking a full time Case Worker to assist with finding safe, affordable, quality housing for eligible candidates and reviewing resident’s needs to connect them with services that will help them achieve success in independent living.  Position entails assisting with daily living skills, advocating for clients, and coordinating services with outside agencies.  Strong communication and organization skills are required.  High School diploma or equivalent required.  Associate’s degree in a Human Services field with 2 years’ experience preferred. REHABILITATION PRACTITIONER

Home Community Based Services (HCBS) is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Rehabilitation Practitioner to provide individual and group rehabilitation interventions designed to teach skills and offer support to adults with mental illness participating in HCBS services as they pursue their overall behavioral health recovery goals.  High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders OR a Bachelor’s degree is required.  CPR certification preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation needed for required travel.

SENIOR SUPPORT STAFF

The Breakthrough II program is seeking a full-time Senior Support Staff member to help lead and support the needs of the residents and staff of a community residence designed to assist adults with mental illness learn the skills necessary to live independently.  Bachelor’s degree in human services related field OR Associate’s degree in human services related field with 3 years’ experience in human services field OR high school diploma/equivalency with 5 years’ experience in human services related field.  Valid driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation to transition between varying program sites required.

ADDICTION COUNSELOR

Twin Oaks, a community residence for individuals in recovery, is seeking a F/T Addiction Counselor to assist residents in maintaining sobriety/abstinence skills as they transition toward a drug-free lifestyle. Experience and knowledge of alcohol and substance abuse delivery systems as well as a HS diploma or equivalent are required. CASAC or CASAC-T is preferred as a CASAC-T must be obtained within 2 years. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier. Some local travel may be required. CLINICAL COORDINATOR

The Adult Outpatient Clinic is seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator to provide clinical supervision and oversight to social workers and licensed mental health counselors within the clinic setting.  This position also provides individual and group therapy to adults. Qualifications include the following licensures: LCSW, or LCSW-R.  LCSW-R is strongly preferred.

CRISIS CLINICIAN

The mobile crisis team is seeking a full-time Crisis Clinician to provide crisis intervention in the community and/or office setting during weekday afternoons and evenings as a member of the mobile crisis team.  Responsibilities would include making risk assessments, providing brief interventions, care management and individual/family psychotherapy to individuals potentially in crisis. The Healthy Families of New York program is seeking full-time Home Visitors to assist new and expectant families in Clinton County and Franklin County.  Home Visitors provide strength based support and advocacy utilizing program resources including parenting curriculum and standardized assessment tools.  Need for flexible work hours to include evenings and possibly weekends to accommodate families’ needs. The Families Involved Together (FIT) program is seeking a parent, foster parent or other individual with experience raising a child with psychiatric, emotional or behavioral challenges, to provide family support services on a part time basis.  Qualifications include the following: H.S. diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a Human Service related field is preferred.

ADULT CARE MANAGER 

Working within the Health Home, the Adult Care Management program is seeking a full-time individual to organize client care in order to improve clients’ health outcomes and reduce unnecessary emergency room and inpatient hospitalizations. The Care Manager will assess clients’ needs; develop and implement comprehensive care plans; and coordinate personnel and resources needed to facilitate the appropriate delivery of health care services. Qualifications include the following: 2 years' experience working directly with persons with behavioral health diagnoses AND either a bachelor’s level education or higher in a Social Sciences field, a NYS licensed RN with a bachelor’s degree, or a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).

COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

BHSN is seeking a full-time Compliance Specialist, specializing in billing compliance, to ensure the organization is operating in accordance with regulatory standards, particularly OMH and OASAS.  The Compliance Specialist would be expected to conduct audits on clinical records and program documentation, participate in regulatory certification processes, and be familiar with federal, state and other governing agency regulations.  Qualifications include the following: H.S. diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of billing compliance; bachelor’s degree, familiarity with CPT 4 codes and ICD 10, and prior experience in medical records preferred.

The Breakthrough II program, a community residence for adults, is seeking dependable individuals for full-time, part-time and relief positions. Duties include assisting other support staff to provide client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in human services field preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN's insurance carrier required. The community residence is a 24-hour program.  Overnight shifts may be necessary.  All shifts are stay-awake shifts.

CLINICIAN (School-Based)

The School-Based Mental Health Services program is seeking a full-time Clinician to provide evidence based individual, group and family interventions entirely in school settings. This position follows a modified school calendar. Primary responsibilities include engaging child/family in a comprehensive assessment of strengths/needs of a child/family and developing treatment plans based on assessment of need. Qualifications include the following: LMHC, LMHC-P, LMSW, or LCSW. Previous experience working in a school setting preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of children and families. Travel between schools required.

The Apartment Program is seeking a Supervisor to provide fiscal and programmatic oversight of an 18 bed Apartment Program designed to assist adults with mental illness learn the skills necessary to live independently.  Strong supervisory, organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary. Qualifications include the following: associate's degree in related field and 3 years’ experience in human services required; bachlor's degree in relevant human services field and experience working with adults with mental illness or co-occurring disorders preferred.

The Homesteads On Ampersand program is seeking relief Support Staff members to assist adults with mental illness in permanent supportive living settings.  Position entails assisting with daily living skills, advocating for clients, developing individualized housing assessments and support plans to ensure clients are connected to appropriate supports in the community. Qualifications include the following: H.S. diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in relevant Human Services field with 2 yrs. employment experience in a helping capacity and/or certification of peer support training preferred. Relief employees are individuals employed by BHSN on an “as needed” basis with no defined weekly schedule or minimum number of hours to be worked.
