ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (PROS)

BHSN seeks a full-time Administrative assistant to provide shared administrative and clerical support to the Adult Services Programs. Qualifications include: strong data entry/keyboarding skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, accuracy and attention to detail. Prior customer service experience in a medical office setting preferred. Must be flexible. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation required. High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

ADULT CARE MANAGER (Adult Care Management)

Working within the Health Home, Adult Care Mgmt. division of BHSN, a full time individual is needed to organize client care to improve their health outcomes and reduce unnecessary emergency room and inpatient hospitalizations. Will assess client’s needs; develop and implement comprehensive care plans; and coordinate personnel and resources needed to facilitate the appropriate delivery of health care services. Will document all services and conduct care coordination meetings as clinically indicated and in conjunction with regulatory policies and procedures. Bachelor’s degree in human services field; or NYS licensed RN with a bachelor’s degree; or bachelor’s degree in any field with five years’ experience working directly with persons with behavioral health diagnosis; or a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance abuse Counselor (CASAC). Excellent engagement and writing skills essential.  Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and CPR/Safety training certification required. 

 

ADVOCATE (STOP DomesticViolence / So. Franklin County)

The STOP Domestic Violence program of BHSN has a full-time Advocate position available in southern Franklin County. Duties include: assisting clients with safety planning, providing local referrals, some transportation, and supportive counseling.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation required. Training provided.  

 

ADVOCATE (STOP DomesticViolence /Westport)

The STOP Domestic Violence program of BHSN has a full time Advocate position available with flexible hours at our Westport, NY office. Duties include: assisting victims of domestic violence by providing supportive counseling, safety planning, occasional transportation and advocacy within Essex County. Some public education and event coordination are provided by the person in this position. Good communication skills are required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier for required travel a must.  Training provided.

 

ADVOCATE (LEGAL) (STOP Domestic Violence / Malone)

The STOP Domestic Violence program has a full-time Legal Advocate position available with flexible hours. Duties include: assisting victims of domestic violence through the legal system; providing transportation and advocacy as necessary and attending court sessions within Franklin County. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Training provided.  Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation a must for required travel. 

 

CHILDREN SERVICES COORDINATOR (STOP Domestic Violence – Malone)

BHSN has a full-time position available with the STOP Domestic Violence Program in Franklin County.   Duties include: coordinate services for children whose parent(s) are clients; provide educational programs about the issues of safety at home and teen dating violence to school and community groups; provide transportation; advocacy; safety planning; and follow-up as necessary. Will participate in back-up coverage to volunteers on the hotline during non-business hours; maintain program records; and participate in training and staff meetings as required. BA/BS in related Human Services field preferred; valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier for required travel and reliable transportation are required. 

 

CLINICIAN  (EAS)

The Employee Assistance Services Program of BHSN is seeking a part-time or full time Clinician to provide diagnostic evaluation, motivational counseling, and referral activities. Qualified candidates must be a LCSW-R, or CEAP, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a clinical mental health setting. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation required.

 

CLINICIAN  (School-Based)

BHSN is looking for a School Based Clinician to provide evidence based individual, group and family interventions entirely in school settings. This is a full time position, following a modified school calendar. Primary responsibilities include engaging child/family in a comprehensive assessment of strengths/needs of a child/family and developing treatment plans based on assessment of need. Will also provide individual/group/family therapies and facilitate crisis intervention services as clinically needed and have the ability to coordinate services in different schools. Qualifications include: NYS LMHC, LMSW, or LCSW. Previous experience working in a school setting preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of children and families. Travel between schools required. 

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – CHECK-IN (Adult Clinic)

BHSN seeks a full-time Customer Service Representative to perform client check-in functions in a busy medical office. Duties include: open office, verify client information, appointment scheduling, answer incoming calls / appointment reminder calls. Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism essential as provides link between patients and their health care provider.  High school diploma or equivalent required. Organizational and computer skills required. Prior customer service experience in a medical environment preferred.

 

DRIVER (P/T) (Transportation)

BHSN seeks part-time Drivers to transport people to and from our Morrisonville, NY, location. Morning and afternoon shifts available. Valid NYS Driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carriers required.

 

HELP DESK TECHNICIAN (IT)

BHSN is seeking a full-time Help Desk Technician within the IT Department. Tasks include troubleshooting and resolving problems with PCs and peripheral equipment, end user support, end user training, installing hardware and software solutions, development of training materials, license tracking, performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations to help provide quality support to IT users. Help Desk support experience required. Associates degree in computer science field required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Proficiency in SQL queries a plus. MARKETING MANAGER (Administration)

BHSN is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager to develop strategic plans and carry out activities related to marketing. Responsibilities include developing and implementing an annual plan to achieve organizational/strategic goals related to marketing, public relations and related activities.  This position oversees the strategic and ongoing development of the BHSN website and manages BHSN’s social media and marketing content.  Recent college graduates from a marketing-related discipline with relevant internship experience encouraged to apply.  Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in related field, Master’s preferred; ability to manage multiple projects at a time; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

 

REGISTERED NURSE (Adult Clinic) 

The Adult Services Outpatient Clinic of BHSN seeks a full-time NYS Registered Nurse to provide health screening, coordination of health referrals to appropriate community providers, and illness/medication education for adults with serious mental illness. Will work closely with prescribers to support medication treatment services, including administration and management of prescription medications, including injectables. Responsible for management of client caseload, including development of treatment plans. Prior experience working in a mental health environment preferred. Some evening hours required. Computer and keyboard skills for using electronic health record, CPR certification, and valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier all required.

 

REHABILITATION PRACTITIONER II  (PROS)

BHSN is seeking a qualified individual for the full time position of Rehabilitation Practitioner II to provide individual and group rehabilitation interventions designed to teach skills and offer support to adults with mental illness participating in Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) as they pursue rehabilitation goals.  Qualifications include: ability to engage individuals and motivate others to support goal-oriented changes; 1 to 2 years’ experience in mental health or rehabilitation preferred; Associate’s degree or higher in a human services field preferred; valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation needed for required travel. 

 

RESIDENTIAL RELIEF STAFF  (Twin Oaks)

Twin Oaks, a community residence for individuals in recovery from chemical dependency, is seeking dependable and responsible individuals for Relief positions. Duties may include: assisting counselors, providing client supervision in a residential setting, recordkeeping, filing, medication supervision and accountability and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Must be at least 25 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least three years and reliable transportation a must. Experience in human services related field preferred. Training provided. Relief hours will vary.

 

RESIDENTIAL RELIEF STAFF (All Shifts) (Adult Residential)

Breakthrough II, a community residence for mentally ill adults, is seeking dependable and responsible adults for Relief positions. Duties include assisting counselors, providing client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Training provided. Previous experience in human services field preferred. Hours are Midnight to 8:00 AM and various other shifts to work on an as-needed basis available.

 

RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT STAFF (F/T, P/T, Relief) (Adult Residential)

Breakthrough II, a community residence for adults, is seeking candidates to assist residents with daily needs including medication management, transportation, linkage to other services, care coordination and discharge planning.   Will develop service plans following regulatory policies and procedures and document progress. Shifts available: Mon – Fri 4PM – 12AM and Mon – Fri 4PM to 8PM in addition to “as needed” positions . Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in human services field preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required.   CPR certified or able to achieve certification within 6 months of hire. Basic computer and keyboarding skills essential. Must be able to climb/descend stairs, perform light household indoor and outdoor chores, and react quickly to situations inside and outside the residence. 

 

VIP COORDINATOR (Violence Intervention Project)

BHSN seeks a self-motivated, passionate individual to lead our Violence Intervention Project.  This program is in the forefront of social change regarding domestic violence perpetrators and working to provide a pathway towards behavior change and victim safety.  BS with 2 yrs experience or Associate’s degree with 5 yrs experience in Human Services or related field required.

To help you understand the terms Relief, Part-time or Full-time above: a Relief staff member works on an "as needed" basis; a Part-time staff member usually works less than 40 hours per week depending on the program/job description. A Full-time staff member is someone who normally works at least 40 hours per week.
