SUPPORTED EDUCATION SUPERVISOR (Supported Education)
BHSN seeks a part-time individual to provide fiscal and program oversight of the Supported Education program in order to maximize the number of recipients obtaining their educational goal. Duties may include: provide direct supervision of Education Mentor including weekly scheduling of time and assigned duties; assist in the development of the annual budget and manage expenditures in accordance with the approved budget; provide external marketing of program services to community partners; responsible for establishing and insuring the attainment of outcome standards; assess recipient readiness for admission; assist recipients in formulating educational plan to overcome barriers; provide direct skills teaching and educational tutoring; assist recipients in securing financial aid; coordinates support on/off site; coordinate rehabilitation activity with treatment team; and integrate clinical information into documentation required for applications for accommodation. Bachelor’s degree in related human services or educational field required; Master’s degree preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required.
RESIDENTIAL RELIEF STAFF (Twin Oaks)
Twin Oaks, a community residence for individuals in recovery from chemical dependency, is seeking dependable and responsible individuals for Relief positions. Duties may include: assisting counselors, providing client supervision in a residential setting, recordkeeping, filing, medication supervision and accountability and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Must be at least 25 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least three years and reliable transportation a must. Experience in human services related field preferred. Training provided. Relief hours will vary.
APARTMENT PROGRAM SUPERVISOR (Adult Residential)
Breakthrough II, an Office of Mental Health licensed residential program of BHSN, is looking for an Apartment Program Supervisor to provide fiscal and programmatic oversight of an 18-bed Apartment Program designed to assist adults with mental illness learn the skills necessary to live independently. Strong supervisory and organizational skills are necessary. BA in relevant human services field preferred. Five years experience working with adults with mental illness with co-occurring disorders preferred. Must be at least 23 years of age to apply. CRISIS CARE MANAGER (Adult Services)
The Adult Services division of BHSN is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Crisis Care Manager. Duties of the successful candidate include, but are not limited to: provide assessment, crisis interventions including counseling, advocacy, support, service referral and linkage, and transportation to adults with serious mental illness. Will provide Crisis Safety training for division staff, and coordinate and participate in BHSN Adult Services 24/7 crisis hotline. Qualifications include: BA in related Human Services field; CASAC credential; 2 year’s experience in a mental health field; and a valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier. CPR certified or able to attain certification within 30 days of employment.
ADVOCATE (STOP DV – Essex/Franklin County)
The STOP Domestic Violence program of BHSN has a full-time Advocate positions available in Essex and southern Franklin Counties. Duties include: assist clients with safety planning, advocacy, local referrals, follow up, some transportation, and supportive counseling; maintain program records; participate in back-up coverage to volunteers on the hotline during non-business hours; and participate in training and staff meetings as required. COMMUNITY EDUCATOR/ADVOCATE (STOP DV – Franklin County)
BHSN seeks a full-time Community Educator/Advocate to provide presentations about the issues of domestic violence for community agencies, departments and schools in Franklin County, NY. Working as part of a team, the CE/A will provide training, supervision, and client services that include advocacy, supportive counseling, safety planning referrals, follow up, and some transportation. The CE/A will participate in back-up coverage to volunteers on the hotline during non-business hours, maintain program records, and participate in training and staff meetings as required. RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT (Adult Residential)
Part-time Residential Support Staff is needed for adult community residence. Schedule is Friday, 10 PM to 8 AMSaturday, and Saturday, 10 PM to 8 AM Sunday. High School diploma or equivalent and valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier are required (must be at least 23 years of age).
REGISTERED NURSE (Child and Family Clinic)
The Child and Family outpatient clinic at BHSN seeks a full-time NYS Registered Nurse to provide health screening, coordination of health referrals to appropriate community providers, and illness/medication education for children with serious mental illness and their families. Will work closely with prescribers to support medication treatment services. Responsible for management of client caseload, including development of treatment plans. Prior experience working with children and/or in a mental health environment preferred. Some coverage in our adult outpatient clinic required. Some evening hours required. Computer and keyboard skills for using electronic health record, CPR certification, and valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier all required.
CUSTOMER SERVICE – CHECK-IN (Adult Services)
BHSN seeks a full-time Customer Service Representative to perform client check-in functions in a busy medical office. Duties include: open office, verify client information, appointment scheduling, answer incoming calls and make appointment reminder calls. Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism essential as provides link between patients and their health care provider. High school diploma or equivalent required. Organizational / computer skills required. Prior customer service experience in a medical environment preferred.
PEER DRIVER (PROS)
BHSN is seeking a qualified Peer Driver to provide transportation assistance to help individuals keep wellness appointments. Will track daily mileage of transports, perform maintenance checks of vehicle, and insure that all required regulatory paperwork is completed. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required. Must maintain an excellent driving record as a requirement of continued employment. High School diploma or equivalent is required.
REHABILITATION PRACTITIONER 1 (PROS)
BHSN is seeking a qualified individual for the full time position of Rehabilitation Practitioner I to provide individual and group rehabilitation interventions designed to provide support and skill building to adults with mental illness pursuing rehabilitation goals in the Personalized Recovery Oriented Services program. Qualifications include licensed or credentialed mental health professionals including LMHC, LMSW/LCSW, CASAC, CPRP, RN, CRC, occupational therapist, marriage/family therapist, psychologist, or psychoanalyst; with 1 to 2 years’ experience in a mental health or rehabilitation environment preferred. HOMESTEADS ON AMPERSAND SUPPORT STAFF (Relief) (Supported Housing)
BHSN is seeking relief Support Staff to assist adults with mental illness in permanent supportive living settings. Positions entail assisting with daily living skills, advocating for clients, developing individualized housing assessments and support plans to insure clients are connected to appropriate supports in the community. Good interpersonal, organizational, computer, and data entry skills required. GED/HS Diploma required; Associates degree in relevant Human Services field with 2 years employment experience in a helping capacity and/or certification of peer support training preferred. Reliable transportation and valid NYS driver’s license required.
The Employee Assistance Services Program of BHSN is seeking a part-time or full time Clinician to provide diagnostic evaluation, motivational counseling, and referral activities. Qualified candidates must be a LCSW-R, or CEAP, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a clinical mental health setting. RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT STAFF (F/T, P/T, Relief) (Adult Residential)
Breakthrough II, a community residence for adults, is seeking candidates to assist residents with daily needs including medication management, transportation, linkage to other services, care coordination and discharge planning. Will develop service plans following regulatory policies and procedures and document progress. Shifts available: Mon – Fri 4PM – 12AM and Mon – Fri 4PM to 8PM in addition to “as needed” positions . Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in human services field preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required. CPR certified or able to achieve certification within 6 months of hire. Basic computer and keyboarding skills essential. Must be able to climb/descend stairs, perform light household indoor and outdoor chores, and react quickly to situations inside and outside the residence.
CHIEF OF SERVICES (Administration)
Provide oversight, leadership and direct supervision to the agency’s direct services; reports to the CEO regarding all work activities; reports on direct services activities to the Board of Directors. Requirements include a Masters Degree in healthcare, behavioral healthcare or related field including MSW, MRC, MSN, PhD. Also must be a NYS Office of Mental Health Qualified Health Professional with appropriate current and active professional NYS license/certification. 7 years post masters professional direct practice experience including 7 years supervisory and leadership experience in a mental health treatment or rehabilitation setting. Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with New York State Office of Mental Health program and regulatory environments.
BHSN seeks part-time Drivers to transport people to and from our Morrisonville, NY, location. Morning and afternoon shifts available. Valid NYS Driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carriers required.
A part-time (10 hr/wk) Custodian is available to provide general cleaning of offices/restrooms. Must be able to move office furniture as required for cleaning, climb ladders and use janitorial equipment. Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid NYS driver’s license with reliable transportation, and the ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary. Work schedule can be flexible.
