HELP DESK TECHNICIAN (IT)

BHSN is seeking a full-time Help Desk Technician within the IT Department. Tasks include troubleshooting and resolving problems with PCs and peripheral equipment, end user support, end user training, installing hardware and software solutions, development of training materials, license tracking, performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations to help provide quality support to IT users. Help Desk support experience required. Associates degree in computer science field required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Proficiency in SQL queries a plus. COMMUNITY RESIDENCE SUPERVISOR (Adult Residential)

BHSN is seeking a full-time Residential Supervisor to provide fiscal oversight of a residence designed to assist adults with mental illness learn the skills necessary to live independently. Responsibilities include: coordinate and reinforce integrated residential, rehabilitation and clinical treatment of residents; monitor work quality and quantity of assigned staff and facility outcomes. Participate in the screening, hiring, orienting and training of new employees; and ensure implementation of Agency regulatory policies and procedures.  Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in relevant Human Services field essential, and/or 5 years prior experience in a supervisory capacity in a mental health setting preferred.  Understanding of OMH regulations preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal needed.  Strong supervision, time management, and computer/keyboarding skills are essential. 

 

ADDICTION COUNSELOR (Twin Oaks)

Twin Oaks is seeking a full-time Addiction Counselor to assist residents in maintaining sobriety and abstinence skills as they transition toward a drug-free lifestyle. Applicants must have experience and knowledge of alcohol and substance abuse delivery systems. CASAC or CASAC-T preferred. Valid driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier essential. Some local travel may be required. Twin Oaks is a tobacco-free environment.

 

NURSE MANAGER (Adult Clinic)

A full time NYS Registered Nurse is needed to oversee its outpatient medication services.  Supervision of a nursing team that provides health screening, coordination of health referrals to appropriate community providers, and illness/medication education for adults with mental illness. Will work closely with prescribers to support medication treatment services, including triage, management of prescriber schedules, administration and management of prescription medications including injectables, and maintaining clinic compliance standards. Will be responsible for management of client caseload, including development of treatment plans. Strong management skills required.  Prior experience working in a mental health environment preferred. Computer and keyboard skills for using electronic health record, CPR certification, and valid NYS driver’s license all required.

 

RESPITE PROVIDER (Eldercare)

The Eldercare Program of BHSN is seeking a part-time 15-20 hours/week Respite Provider to provide support and companionship to the elderly in their home, within Clinton County. Prior experience in caring for the elderly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.  Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier, clean driving record, and reliable transportation essential for required travel. Mileage reimbursement provided. Flexible hours.

 

ADVOCATE (STOP DV / So. Franklin County)

The STOP Domestic Violence program of BHSN has a full-time Advocate position available in southern Franklin County. Duties include: assisting clients with safety planning, providing local referrals, some transportation, and supportive counseling.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation required. Training provided.  

 

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Facilities)

A full time Maintenance Technician position is available to ensure the upkeep and appearance of BHSN locations in the Plattsburgh area.  Duties include both indoor/outdoor tasks; cleaning of offices/restrooms, windows, landscape maintenance, snow removal, light carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general routine maintenance. Electrical skills are essential. Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs., move office furniture as required for cleaning, climb ladders, and use janitorial equipment.  Will serve as a contact person to respond to building security alarms.  Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a valid NYS driver’s license with reliable transportation for required travel, CDL license a plus; and the ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary. $12.00/hour; full benefit package, including 401k. Overtime may be required.

 

SUPPORTED EDUCATION SUPERVISOR (Supported Education)

BHSN seeks a part-time individual to provide fiscal and program oversight of the Supported Education program in order to maximize the number of recipients obtaining their educational goal. Duties may include: provide direct supervision of Education Mentor including weekly scheduling of time and  assigned duties; assist in the development of the annual budget and manage expenditures in accordance with the approved budget; provide  external marketing of program services to community partners; responsible for establishing and insuring the attainment of outcome standards; assess recipient readiness for admission; assist recipients in formulating educational plan to overcome barriers; provide direct skills teaching and educational tutoring; assist recipients in securing financial aid; coordinates support on/off site; coordinate rehabilitation activity with treatment team;  and  integrate clinical information into documentation required for applications for accommodation. Bachelor’s degree in related human services or educational field required; Master’s degree preferred.  Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required.  

 

RESIDENTIAL RELIEF STAFF  (Twin Oaks)

Twin Oaks, a community residence for individuals in recovery from chemical dependency, is seeking dependable and responsible individuals for Relief positions. Duties may include: assisting counselors, providing client supervision in a residential setting, recordkeeping, filing, medication supervision and accountability and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Must be at least 25 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least three years and reliable transportation a must. Experience in human services related field preferred. Training provided. Relief hours will vary.

 

PEER DRIVER (PROS)

BHSN is seeking a qualified Peer Driver to provide transportation assistance to help individuals keep wellness appointments.  Will track daily mileage of transports, perform maintenance checks of vehicle, and insure that all required regulatory paperwork is completed. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required. Must maintain an excellent driving record as a requirement of continued employment. High School diploma or equivalent is required. 

 

REHABILITATION PRACTITIONER 1  (PROS)

BHSN is seeking a qualified individual for the full time position of Rehabilitation Practitioner I to provide individual and group rehabilitation interventions designed to provide support and skill building to adults with mental illness pursuing rehabilitation goals in the Personalized Recovery Oriented Services program.  Qualifications include licensed or credentialed mental health professionals including LMHC, MSW/LMSW/LCSW, CASAC, CPRP, RN, CRC, occupational therapist, marriage/family therapist, psychologist, or psychoanalyst; with 1 to 2 years’ experience in a mental health or rehabilitation environment preferred. CPR certification also preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation required.

 

CLINICIAN  (EAS)

The Employee Assistance Services Program of BHSN is seeking a part-time or full time Clinician to provide diagnostic evaluation, motivational counseling, and referral activities. Qualified candidates must be a LCSW-R, or CEAP, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a clinical mental health setting. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation required.

 

RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT STAFF (F/T, P/T, Relief) (Adult Residential)

Breakthrough II, a community residence for adults, is seeking candidates to assist residents with daily needs including medication management, transportation, linkage to other services, care coordination and discharge planning.   Will develop service plans following regulatory policies and procedures and document progress. Shifts available: Mon – Fri 4PM – 12AM and Mon – Fri 4PM to 8PM in addition to “as needed” positions . Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in human services field preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required.   CPR certified or able to achieve certification within 6 months of hire. Basic computer and keyboarding skills essential. Must be able to climb/descend stairs, perform light household indoor and outdoor chores, and react quickly to situations inside and outside the residence. 

 

DRIVER (P/T) (Transportation)

BHSN seeks part-time Drivers to transport people to and from our Morrisonville, NY, location. Morning and afternoon shifts available. Valid NYS Driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carriers required.

RESIDENTIAL RELIEF STAFF (All Shifts) (Residential)
Breakthrough II, a community residence for mentally ill adults, is seeking dependable and responsible adults for Relief positions. Duties include assisting counselors, providing client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Training provided. Previous experience in human services field preferred. Hours are Midnight to 8:00 AM and various other shifts to work on an as-needed basis available.

To help you understand the terms Relief, Part-time or Full-time above: a Relief staff member works on an "as needed" basis; a Part-time staff member usually works between 20 and 39 hours per week depending on the program/job description. A Full-time staff member is someone who normally works 40 hours per week.
