When you work for BHSN, you will be classified in one of three categories of employees: Relief, Part-time or Full-time. A Relief staff member works on an "as needed" basis; a Part-time staff member usually works between 20 and 39 hours per week depending on the program/job description. A Full-time staff member is someone who normally works 40 hours per week.


BILLING CLERK– Part time  (Billing)

BHSN is seeking a Billing Clerk to work 24 hrs/wk. to provide data entry, filing, and telephone support to program staff. Prior experience in an office setting, strong/accurate data entry and communication skills essential. Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets preferred. High School Diploma required. $10.00/hr.; this position is benefit eligible.


REGISTERED NURSE (Adult Clinic / Child & Family Clinic)

The Adult Services division of BHSN seeks a full time NYS Registered Nurse to provide health screening, coordination of health referrals to appropriate community providers, and illness/medication education for adults with serious mental illness. Will work in close collaboration with prescribers to dispense medication as prescribed, to include injectable medication. Will participate in the development, writing and execution of treatment plans. Will provide crisis intervention services as needed. Prior experience working in a mental health environment preferred. Must be CPR certified. Valid NYS driver’s license required.



BHSN is seeking a full time Residential Supervisor to provide fiscal oversight of a residence designed to assist adults with mental illness learn the skills necessary to live independently. Responsibilities include: 
coordinate and reinforce integrated residential, rehabilitation and clinical treatment of residents; monitor work quality and quantity of assigned staff and facility outcomes. Participate in the screening, hiring,orienting and training of new employees; ensures implementation of Agency regulatory policies and procedures. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in relevant Human Services field preferred, 5 years exp. working with adults with mental illness/co-occurring disorders a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and strong supervisory skills needed. Flexibility in work schedule and local travel required. 



BHSN is seeking a full time FSW Supervisor to provide ongoing professional/clinical/case management supervision to direct service staff. Will review/maintain all support records, shadow staff and develop/maintain knowledge of community health/social service resources. Will ensure ongoing programmatic adherence to BHSN and Healthy Family NY standards. Need for flexible work hours to include evenings and possibly weekends to accommodate families’ needs. Early Advantages is a credentialed Healthy Families NY Home Visiting Program. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or health related field; two yrs. administrative/supervisory experience, and experience with in-home visitation. Valid NYS driver’s license with reliable transportation required. 


THERAPIST  (Child / Family Clinic)

BHSN is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time Therapist in its Child & Family Clinic. This position provides individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties, in both outpatient clinic and school-based settings. NYS licensure (provisional acceptable) and appropriate master’s degree required, MSW preferred.


CLINIC DIRECTOR (Child/Family and Adult Clinic

BHSN is seeking a qualified individual for the full time position of Clinic Director for their NYS OMH licensed Child/Family and Adult Clinic. Will provide clinical and fiscal oversight of the Clinic’s which serves individuals with serious mental illness. Qualified candidates must be an LCSW, CNS, NPP, or have a PhD in Clinical Psychology and licensed, or license eligible in NY. Five years’ experience in a mental health environment required. Prior supervisory experience essential. 

BHSN seeks a candidate for a 16 hr/wk position. Candidate must be highly organized, pay great attention to detail, and have the ability to work independently. Duties include, but are not limited to: clerical support to the BHSN Finance Department, data entry, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous data entry and filing experience preferred.


CLINICIANS (Adult Clinic)
BHSN is seeking qualified individuals for full-time positions in its outpatient Adult Clinic. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, individual, family, and group therapy, and if credentialed, psychological testing. NY State licensure in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling required (permit acceptable). 

Twin Oaks, a community residence for individuals in recovery from chemical dependency, is seeking dependable and responsible individuals for Relief positions. Duties may include: assisting counselors, providing client supervision in a residential setting, recordkeeping, filing, medication supervision and accountability and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Must be at least 25 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least three years and reliable transportation a must. Experience in human services related field preferred. Training provided. Relief hours will vary.

A full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position is available working with children and adults. Monday through Friday hours with no on-call or weekend hours.
The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and medication evaluations for adults with serious mental illness and/or children with serious emotional disturbances. Ability to work collaboratively with treatment team critical. Expert skills in diagnosing and treating mental illness. Position will promote wellness and provide patient education. Keyboarding skills essential to perform collaborative documentation. Valid NYS license as NP in Psychiatry and must possess certification as a Psychiatric mental health NP. Candidate must maintain a valid DEA license and be eligible for full and unconditional participation in Medicaid/Medicare and other third party insurance providers. Prior experience preferred.

VAN /BUS DRIVER (Transportation)
BHSN is seeking a per diem CDL Driver to provide transportation within Clinton County to transport adults to/from mental health programming. Split shifts may be either 6:30 AM – 8:45 AM and/or 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM as needed.  Qualifications include H.S. Diploma or equivalent, valid NYS Commercial Driver’s License with clean driving record. Must be at least 25 years of age and pass a mandatory physical, drug & alcohol testing and background checks. 

RESIDENTIAL RELIEF (All Shifts) (Residential)
Breakthrough II, a community residence for mentally ill adults, is seeking dependable and responsible adults for Relief positions. Duties include assisting counselors, providing client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Training provided. Previous experience in human services field preferred. Hours are Midnight to 8:00 AM and various other shifts to work on an as-needed basis available.
