The STOP Domestic Violence program has a full time Legal Advocate position available with flexible hours. Duties include: assisting victims of domestic violence through the legal system; providing transportation and advocacy as necessary and attending court sessions within Clinton County. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Training provided. Must be at least 21 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least 3 years and reliable transportation a must.
WEEKEND RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR
Breakthrough II, a community residence for mentally ill adults, is seeking a full time Weekend Residential Counselor to assist residents in learning and applying the skills necessary to live more independently. Duties include: providing supportive/educational counseling and assisting residents with addressing needs including but not limited to: transportation, linkage to other services and discharge planning. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and good interpersonal skills. Must be at least 23 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least three years. Previous experience working in related Human Services field preferred.
Work hours are predominately weekends with some hours during some weekdays.
SUPPORTED HOUSING CASE WORKER
A full time Supported Housing Case Worker is needed to assist the Program Coordinator with finding safe, affordable, quality housing for eligible candidates and reviewing resident’s needs to connect them with services that will help them achieve success in independent living. Position entails assisting with daily living skills, advocating for clients, coordinating services with outside agencies, etc. Strong communication and organization skills required. HS Diploma/GED required; Associates degree in a Human Services field with 2 years experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and computer/data entry skills necessary. Must be at least 23 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least 3 years and reliable transportation a must.
INTENSIVE CASE MANAGER (Children’s Services )
The Children’s Services Division of BHSN seeks to fill a FT Intensive Case Manager position to help ensure that children and their families receive the necessary services and supports to help relieve the difficulties they are experiencing. The duties include assessment and service plan development, service coordination, linkage to needed services, advocacy, monitoring and discharge planning. Will provide crisis intervention as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a human services field. Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional with experience with SED children. Valid NYS driver’s license.
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (Adult Services )
BHSN’s outpatient Adult Services program seeks a full time NYS LPN to provide health screening, coordination of health referrals, and illness/medication education for adults with serious mental illness. Will work closely with prescribers to support medication treatment services including administration and management of prescription medications, including injectables. Responsible for management of client caseload, including development of treatment plans. Computer and keyboard skills for using Electronic Health Record, CPR certification, and valid NYS driver’s license are required. Prior experience in a mental health setting a plus.
CHIEF OF SERVICES (Administration)
Provide oversight, leadership and direct supervision to the agency’s direct services; reports to the CEO regarding all work activities; reports on direct services activities to the Board of Directors. Requirements include a Masters Degree in healthcare, behavioral healthcare or related field including MSW, MRC, MSN, PhD. Also must be a NYS Office of Mental Health Qualified Health Professional with appropriate current and active professional NYS license/certification. 7 years post masters professional direct practice experience including 7 years supervisory and leadership experience in a mental health treatment or rehabilitation setting. Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with New York State Office of Mental Health program and regulatory environments.
REGISTERED NURSE (Adult Clinic / Child & Family Clinic)
The Adult Services division of BHSN seeks a full time NYS Registered Nurse to provide health screening, coordination of health referrals to appropriate community providers, and illness/medication education for adults with serious mental illness. Will work in close collaboration with prescribers to dispense medication as prescribed, to include injectable medication. Will participate in the development, writing and execution of treatment plans. Will provide crisis intervention services as needed. Prior experience working in a mental health environment preferred. Must be CPR certified. Valid NYS driver’s license required.
THERAPIST (Child/Family Clinic)
BHSN is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time Therapist in its Child & Family Clinic. This position provides individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties, in both outpatient clinic and school-based settings. NYS licensure (provisional acceptable) and appropriate master’s degree required, MSW preferred.
ACCOUNTING CLERK (Part Time)
BHSN seeks a candidate for a 16 hr/wk position. Candidate must be highly organized, pay great attention to detail, and have the ability to work independently. Duties include, but are not limited to: clerical support to the BHSN Finance Department, data entry, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous data entry and filing experience preferred.
CLINICIANS (Adult Clinic)
BHSN is seeking qualified individuals for full-time positions in its outpatient Adult Clinic. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, individual, family, and group therapy, and if credentialed, psychological testing. NY State licensure in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling required (permit acceptable).
RESIDENTIAL RELIEF (Twin Oaks)
Twin Oaks, a community residence for individuals in recovery from chemical dependency, is seeking dependable and responsible individuals for Relief positions. Duties may include: assisting counselors, providing client supervision in a residential setting, recordkeeping, filing, medication supervision and accountability and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Must be at least 25 years of age to apply. Valid NYS driver’s license for at least three years and reliable transportation a must. Experience in human services related field preferred. Training provided. Relief hours will vary.
A full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position is available working with children and adults. Monday through Friday hours with no on-call or weekend hours.
The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and medication evaluations for adults with serious mental illness and/or children with serious emotional disturbances. Ability to work collaboratively with treatment team critical. Expert skills in diagnosing and treating mental illness. Position will promote wellness and provide patient education. Keyboarding skills essential to perform collaborative documentation. Valid NYS license as NP in Psychiatry and must possess certification as a Psychiatric mental health NP. Candidate must maintain a valid DEA license and be eligible for full and unconditional participation in Medicaid/Medicare and other third party insurance providers. Prior experience preferred.
