CRIME VICTIM ADVOCATE

STOP Domestic Violence is seeking a full-time Crime Victim Advocate to provide direct services for victims of domestic violence, in particular with assisting victims of domestic violence file compensation claims with the New York State Office of Victim Services, providing legal system advocacy, and follow-up.  Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field required.  Must be capable of working a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of a 24-hour service.  A valid NYS driver’s license with driving record acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier is necessary.

CLINICIAN/CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

Clinic Services is seeking a Clinician/Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical supervision and oversight to social workers, licensed mental health counselors and interns within the clinic setting.  This position also provides individual, family and group therapy to adults on caseload.  Qualified candidates must be a LCSW or LCSW-R.   3 years’ experience in providing psychotherapy as well as 1 year supervisory experience within a clinical setting required.  Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of clientele will be necessary.

PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST

The Therapeutic Foster Care program is seeking a part-time Program Support Specialist to supervise visitation between placed foster children and their discharge resources, parents and siblings.  They will provide structure, feedback, support and resources in the effort to improve parenting skills and relationships along with furthering court ordered goals. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, special education, counseling, or a related human service field is required; experience may substitute for field of study but not for minimum degree requirement.  Three years’ experience in providing services to children and families required.  Excellent interpersonal communication and sound writing skills are essential. Valid NYS driver’s license with driving record acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required.

HOA SUPPORT STAFF

The Homesteads on Ampersand program is seeking full-time, part-time and relief Support Staff members to assist adults with mental illness in permanent supportive living settings.  Position entails assisting with daily living skills, advocating for clients, developing individualized housing assessments and support plans to ensure clients are connected to appropriate supports in the community. Qualifications include the following: H.S. diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in relevant Human Services field with 2 yrs. employment experience in a helping capacity and/or certification of peer support training preferred. Relief employees are individuals employed by BHSN on an “as needed” basis with no defined weekly schedule or minimum number of hours to be worked.  All shifts are stay-awake shifts.

The Breakthrough II program is seeking a full-time Senior Support Staff member to help lead and support the needs of the residents and staff of a community residence designed to assist adults with mental illness learn the skills necessary to live independently.  Bachelor’s degree in human services related field OR Associate’s degree in human services related field with 3 years’ experience in human services field OR high school diploma/equivalency with 5 years’ experience in human services related field.  Valid driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation to transition between varying program sites required.

CLINICIAN (School-Based)

The School-Based Mental Health Services program is seeking a full-time Clinician to provide evidence based individual, group and family interventions entirely in school settings. This position follows a modified school calendar. Primary responsibilities include engaging child/family in a comprehensive assessment of strengths/needs of a child/family and developing treatment plans based on assessment of need. Qualifications include the following: LMHC, LMHC-P, LMSW, or LCSW. Previous experience working in a school setting preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of children and families. Travel between schools required.

RESIDENTIAL AIDE

Twin Oaks, a community residence for individuals in recovery, is seeking full-time and relief Residential Aides to assist residents in maintaining sobriety/abstinence skills as they transition toward a drug-free lifestyle. Duties may include: assisting counselors, providing client supervision in a residential setting, recordkeeping, medication supervision/accountability and monitoring of daily activities as necessary. Experience in substance abuse field is preferred.  Training is provided.  Applicants must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with driving record acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier. Twin Oaks is a tobacco-free environment.

Duties include assisting other support staff to provide client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. The community residence is a 24-hour program.  Overnight shifts may be necessary.  All shifts are stay-awake shifts.

The Healthy Families of New York program is seeking full-time and part-time Home Visitors to assist new and expectant families in Clinton and Franklin Counties.  Home Visitors provide strength based support and advocacy utilizing program resources including parenting curriculum and standardized assessment tools.  Need for flexible work hours to include evenings and possibly weekends to accommodate families’ needs. COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

BHSN is seeking a full-time Compliance Specialist, specializing in billing compliance, to ensure the organization is operating in accordance with regulatory standards, particularly OMH and OASAS.  The Compliance Specialist would be expected to conduct audits on clinical records and program documentation, participate in regulatory certification processes, and be familiar with federal, state and other governing agency regulations.  Qualifications include the following: H.S. diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of billing compliance; bachelor’s degree, familiarity with CPT 4 codes and ICD 10, and prior experience in medical records preferred.
