ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR STOP DV

The STOP Domestic Violence program is seeking a qualified person for the full-time position of Assistant Program Director.  Primary duties would include staff supervision, organizing program coverage, providing direct services for clients of STOP DV and completing statistical reports as needed.  Bachelor’s degree in related field as well as experience in/knowledge of domestic violence is required.  Qualified candidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule that accommodates the needs of a 24-hour service.  A valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier with reliable transportation is necessary. 

 

ADDICTION COUNSELOR (Twin Oaks)

Twin Oaks is seeking a F/T Addiction Counselor to assist residents in maintaining sobriety/abstinence skills as they transition toward a drug-free lifestyle. Applicants must have experience and knowledge of alcohol and substance abuse delivery systems. Required: HS diploma or equivalent, CASAC-T must be obtained within 2 years, experience in substance abuse field, engagement skills, IT skills and a valid driver’s license acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier. Some local travel may be required. CASAC or CASAC-T is preferred.  Twin Oaks is a tobacco-free environment.

 

RESIDENTIAL AIDE (Twin Oaks)

Twin Oaks is seeking a P/T Residential Aide to assist residents in maintaining sobriety/abstinence skills as they transition toward a drug-free lifestyle. Duties may include: assisting counselors, providing client supervision in a residential setting, recordkeeping, medication supervision and accountability and monitoring of daily activities as necessary.  Those with experience and knowledge of alcohol and substance abuse delivery systems are encouraged to apply. Experience in substance abuse field is preferred.  Training is provided.  Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier. Some local travel may be required. Twin Oaks is a tobacco-free environment.

 

HOME VISITOR (Healthy Families NY – Franklin County)

Full-time Home Visitor’s are needed to assist pregnant women and newly parenting families in Franklin County.  Home Visitors provide strength based support and advocacy utilizing program resources including parenting curriculum and standardized assessment tools.  Need for flexible work hours to include evenings and possibly weekends to accommodate families’ needs.  Healthy Families – Franklin is an accredited Healthy Families New York Home Visiting Program.  Applicants should possess at least a H.S. diploma, experience in a Health & Human services field and/or child care, strong organizational, time management and writing skills essential.  Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier with reliable transportation required.

 

FINANCIAL CLERK (Finance Department)

BHSN has an opening for a F/T position in its Finance Department.  Position includes responsibility for residential client funds, purchasing, light accounting duties and clerical duties.  Successful candidate must be detail-oriented and possess strong follow-up skills.  HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associates/Bachelor’s preferred.  Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation to work at multiple locations within the local area are required.  Experience in working with community service agencies such as Social Services or Social Security is preferred.

 

CLINICIAN (Adult Clinic)

BHSN is seeking a F/T Clinician for its outpatient Adult Clinic. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and individual/group therapy.  Will include evening hours as assigned. NY State licensure in Social Work (LCSW) required; LCSW-R preferred.

 

CLINICIAN  (EAS)

The Employee Assistance Services Program of BHSN is seeking a part-time or full time Clinician to provide diagnostic evaluation, motivational counseling, and referral activities on a flexible schedule. Qualified candidates must be an LMHC, LCSW-R, or CEAP, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a clinical mental health setting. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN's insurance carrier and reliable transportation required. 

 

DRIVER (P/T) (Transportation)

BHSN seeks part-time Drivers to transport people to and from our Morrisonville, NY, location. Morning and afternoon shifts available. Valid NYS Driver’s license acceptable to BHSN's insurance carriers required.

 

HOMESTEADS ON AMPERSAND SUPPORT STAFF (HOA)

BHSN is seeking relief Support Staff to assist adults with mental illness in permanent supportive living settings.  Position entails assisting with daily living skills, advocating for clients, developing individualized housing assessments and support plans to insure clients are connected to appropriate supports in the community. Good interpersonal, organizational, computer and data entry skills required. GED/HS Diploma required; Associates degree in relevant Human Services field with 2 yrs. employment experience in a helping capacity and/or certification of peer support training preferred. Reliable transportation and valid NYS driver’s license for required travel.

 

PEER DRIVER (PROS)

BHSN is seeking a qualified Peer Driver to provide transportation assistance to help individuals keep wellness appointments.  Will track daily mileage of transports, perform maintenance checks of vehicle, and insure that all required regulatory paperwork is completed. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN's insurance carrier required. Must maintain an excellent driving record as a requirement of continued employment. High School diploma or equivalent is required.

 

RESIDENTIAL RELIEF STAFF (All Shifts) (Adult Residential)

Breakthrough II, a community residence for mentally ill adults, is seeking dependable and responsible adults for Relief positions. Duties include assisting counselors, providing client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Training provided. Previous experience in human services field preferred. Hours are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

 

RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT STAFF (P/T, Relief) (Adult Residential)

Breakthrough II, a community residence for adults, is seeking candidates to assist residents with daily needs including medication management, transportation, linkage to other services, care coordination and discharge planning.   Will develop service plans following regulatory policies and procedures and document progress. The part-time position shift is Mon – Fri 4PM to 8PM in addition to filling in “as needed". The relief position is scheduled on an "as needed" basis with no defined weekly schedule or minimum number of hours to be worked. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in human services field preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN's insurance carrier required.   CPR certified or able to achieve certification within 6 months of hire. Basic computer and keyboarding skills essential. Must be able to climb/descend stairs, perform light household indoor and outdoor chores, and react quickly to situations inside and outside the residence.

To help you understand the terms Relief, Part-time or Full-time above: a Relief staff member works on an "as needed" basis; a Part-time staff member usually works less than 40 hours per week depending on the program/job description. A Full-time staff member is someone who normally works at least 40 hours per week.
