RESPITE PROVIDER (Temporary)

Are you looking to earn some extra money for the Holidays?  The Eldercare Program is seeking a temporary Respite Provider to provide support and companionship to the elderly in their homes within Clinton County 15-20 hours per week. This position will open in the beginning of November and continues for 8 – 12 weeks.  If you have daytime availability and are interested in picking up some extra work, apply by clicking below.  Prior experience in caring for the elderly is preferred. CLINICIAN (School-Based)

The School-Based Mental Health Services program is seeking a full-time Clinician to provide evidence based individual, group and family interventions entirely in school settings. This position follows a modified school calendar. Primary responsibilities include engaging child/family in a comprehensive assessment of strengths/needs of a child/family and developing treatment plans based on assessment of need. Qualifications include the following: LMHC, LMHC-P, LMSW, or LCSW. Previous experience working in a school setting preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of children and families. Travel between schools required.

CLINICIAN 

The Adult Clinic is seeking F/T and P/T Clinicians to provide brief cognitive behavior therapy, psychoeducation, skills training and care management to assigned individuals receiving outpatient mental health services. Qualifications include the following licensures: LMHC, LMHC-P, LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-R.

COMPUTER USER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

The IT Department is seeking a full-time individual for assisting end users with hardware and software solutions. The Computer User Support Technician assists with designing and implementing database reports and other management tools to assist in the efficient and effective operation of programs, including but not limited to, outcome standards, performance standards and productivity. This position also develops training documentation as requested. A high school diploma and SQL skills are required.

RESIDENTIAL AIDE

Twin Oaks, a community residence for individuals in recovery, is seeking full-time and relief Residential Aides to assist residents in maintaining sobriety/abstinence skills as they transition toward a drug-free lifestyle. Duties may include: assisting counselors, providing client supervision in a residential setting, recordkeeping, medication supervision/accountability and monitoring of daily activities as necessary. Experience in substance abuse field is preferred.  Training is provided.  Applicants must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with driving record acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier. EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST

BHSN is seeking a full-time Employment Specialist to assist adults with mental illness participating in the PROS program in choosing, obtaining, and maintaining competitive employment.  Associates degree in related human services field and a minimum of 1 year of employment in mental health are required.  A bachelors’ degree is preferred.  A valid NYS driver license acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier and a reliable vehicle are necessary.

REHABILITATION PRACTITIONER (PROS)


PROS is seeking a full-time Rehabilitation Practitioner to provide individual and group rehabilitation interventions designed to teach skills and offer support to adults with mental illness participating in the PROS program as these recipients pursue their overall rehabilitation goal.  1 to 2 years’ experience in mental health or rehabilitation environment preferred.  AA or BA/BS in human services related field essential.  A valid New York State driver’s license acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier is required.

SUPPORTED HOUSING CASE WORKER

Supported Housing is seeking a full time Case Worker to assist with finding safe, affordable, quality housing for eligible candidates and reviewing resident’s needs to connect them with services that will help them achieve success in independent living.  Position entails assisting with daily living skills, advocating for clients, and coordinating services with outside agencies.  Strong communication and organization skills are required.  High School diploma or equivalent required.  Associate’s degree in a Human Services field with 2 years’ experience preferred. The Breakthrough II program, a community residence for adults, is seeking dependable individuals for full-time, part-time and relief positions. Duties include assisting other support staff to provide client supervision in residential setting, record keeping and monitoring daily activities as necessary. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in human services field preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN's insurance carrier required. The community residence is a 24-hour program.  Overnight shifts may be necessary.  All shifts are stay-awake shifts.

SAFE DWELLING COORDINATOR (Clinton County)

STOP DV is seeking a full-time Safe Dwelling Coordinator to provide direct services to residents of the safe dwellings and maintain the Clinton County facilities.  Candidate must have a HS diploma or equivalent, excellent communication skills, a valid NYS Driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance and reliable transportation.

REGISTERED NURSE 

The Adult Clinic is seeking a full-time NYS Registered Nurse to provide health screening, coordination of health referrals to appropriate community providers, and illness/medication education for adults with mental illness.  The RN will work closely with prescribers to support medication treatment services, provide administration and management of prescription medications to include injectables.  Responsibilities will encompass management of client caseload and development of treatment plans.  Computer and keyboard skills for using electronic health record, CPR certification, ability to work some evening hours, some local travel, and a valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN’s insurance carrier are required.  Prior experience working in a mental health environment is preferred.

Home Community Based Services (HCBS) is seeking a qualified individuals on both a full-time and relief basis for the position of Rehabilitation Practitioner to provide individual and group rehabilitation interventions designed to teach skills and offer support to adults with mental illness participating in HCBS services as they pursue their overall behavioral health recovery goals.  High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders OR a Bachelor’s degree is required.  CPR certification preferred. SENIOR SUPPORT STAFF

The Breakthrough II program is seeking a full-time Senior Support Staff member to help lead and support the needs of the residents and staff of a community residence designed to assist adults with mental illness learn the skills necessary to live independently.  Bachelor’s degree in human services related field OR Associate’s degree in human services related field with 3 years’ experience in human services field OR high school diploma/equivalency with 5 years’ experience in human services related field.  Valid driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier and reliable transportation to transition between varying program sites required.

CLINICAL COORDINATOR

The Adult Outpatient Clinic is seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator to provide clinical supervision and oversight to social workers and licensed mental health counselors within the clinic setting.  This position also provides individual and group therapy to adults. Qualifications include the following licensures: LCSW, or LCSW-R.  LCSW-R is strongly preferred.

CRISIS CLINICIAN

The mobile crisis team is seeking a full-time Crisis Clinician to provide crisis intervention in the community and/or office setting during weekday afternoons and evenings as a member of the mobile crisis team.  Responsibilities would include making risk assessments, providing brief interventions, care management and individual/family psychotherapy to individuals potentially in crisis. The Healthy Families of New York program is seeking full-time Home Visitors to assist new and expectant families in Clinton County and Franklin County.  Home Visitors provide strength based support and advocacy utilizing program resources including parenting curriculum and standardized assessment tools.  Need for flexible work hours to include evenings and possibly weekends to accommodate families’ needs. ADULT CARE MANAGER 

Working within the Health Home, the Adult Care Management program is seeking a full-time individual to organize client care in order to improve clients’ health outcomes and reduce unnecessary emergency room and inpatient hospitalizations. The Care Manager will assess clients’ needs; develop and implement comprehensive care plans; and coordinate personnel and resources needed to facilitate the appropriate delivery of health care services. Qualifications include the following: 2 years' experience working directly with persons with behavioral health diagnoses AND either a bachelor’s level education or higher in a Social Sciences field, a NYS licensed RN with a bachelor’s degree, or a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).

COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

BHSN is seeking a full-time Compliance Specialist, specializing in billing compliance, to ensure the organization is operating in accordance with regulatory standards, particularly OMH and OASAS.  The Compliance Specialist would be expected to conduct audits on clinical records and program documentation, participate in regulatory certification processes, and be familiar with federal, state and other governing agency regulations.  Qualifications include the following: H.S. diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of billing compliance; bachelor’s degree, familiarity with CPT 4 codes and ICD 10, and prior experience in medical records preferred.

HOA SUPPORT STAFF RELIEF

The Homesteads On Ampersand program is seeking relief Support Staff members to assist adults with mental illness in permanent supportive living settings.  Position entails assisting with daily living skills, advocating for clients, developing individualized housing assessments and support plans to ensure clients are connected to appropriate supports in the community. Qualifications include the following: H.S. diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in relevant Human Services field with 2 yrs. employment experience in a helping capacity and/or certification of peer support training preferred. Relief employees are individuals employed by BHSN on an “as needed” basis with no defined weekly schedule or minimum number of hours to be worked.
